Which one? The NES game where they sped up the power of love music so it's unrecognizable and annoying. Where you go around collecting clocks, dodging bees and throwing bowling balls at hula hoop girls? Just like the movie! :D

reply

No the new one made by Telltale Games and it's available for iPhone and various consoles (PS3 etc)

I don't know how a Back to the Future game like that would be hard to screw up even by NES standards. I mean, there are numerous action sequences to cop off of like Marty trying to avoid the Libyans in the DeLorean, Marty on the skateboard being chased by 1955 Biff and his gang, and of course, the climatic race to the clock-tower.

It was made by LJN who were also responsible for the god awful Friday the 13th, Beetlejuice, and Karate Kid Nintendo games.

Hahaha, really? I never played this one.

But the new one is actually fun if you are a real Back to the Future fan. The gameplay is awful, but the story is interesting.

I HATED the gameplay, but I'm such a Back to the Future fan that I completed the game.

The thing I loved is that it's not just you playing what happened in the movies, but instead they created new adventures. The collaboration of Bob Gale probably contributed a lot.

The way I would rate it:

Gameplay: 4/10 ---- It does hove some interesting elements but mostly it was just too simple and I was annoyed by the fact that I couldn't decide shit about what I can do. I love to explore in video-games and with this one I felt too restricted.

8/10 --- Not the perfection, but interesting. Of course because we deal with video-games logic some things simply don't make any sense. But as a fan of the franchise, I think that any fans would feel fulfilled in a way or another because... We talk about new adventures for Doc Brown and Morty.

I watched youtube videos of someone else playing it. It's really fun, it's like a whole other movie, the story is really good and fun to follow

That's the one with 5 chapters right?

reply

Yeah. I have probably played through it 5 times now. I have it on X-Box 360.

I'm going to have to give this game a try.

reply

Yes. I just finish playing it this weekend. Very cool and I wish they continued it.

If anyone want to see how shitty the old NES game is, look up 'AVGN' on youtube

I've played Back to the Future on NES for years and still can't beat it and it makes me extremely angry

I absolutely love playing Back to the Future Part 2 and 3 on NES. If you get the maps to know where you are going it's really a fantastic game to play and beating it gives you one of the greatest senses of accomplishment in all games even more so than Jurassic Park SNES.

I played the Telltale game when it was first out and waited patiently for new episodes to release. The wait for Episode 5 the final episode was so damn long i used to have dreams at night it was released. It really acts as a 4th movie the same way Ghostbusters on PS3 is regarded as the 3rd Ghostbusters we should have got in 1991. I rebought it when it came on PS4 and snagged the Platinum Trophy
