Any Takers for this movie???

Why not, I thought it was a rather sweet film: Two people battling the elements, Reeves' character having reluctance that showing courage and intefrity and perhaps a little love for Roseanna Arquette's spoiled Heiress who learns to be humble and gracious. It's a shame this film is being ignored because Dicaprio's film overshadows it

This is an enjoyable movie. Reeve was an incredible actor, more so than what most people realize. He's very believable as a 1930s pilot in this film.

I love this movie! I never tire of watching it. It pushes all the right buttons for me....the acting, the music, the sets/scenery, and I like this time frame. I never realized that Scott Wilson (Stiller) was the guy who played Harve in "In the Heat of the Night", even though I've had both movies on video for years and years. He's so different in the two movies. I wish this movie had been longer.

Just watched this on Showtime OnDemand; what an enjoyable movie!

I've only seen Reeve in the Superman movies previously, so I didn't know what to expect from this movie (though I had heard he was picky with the roles he took). He was completely believable as a gruff, humorless pilot grieving over the loss of his student ten years earlier. His accent (which I can't completely place) was well-acted, and the softening of his character as he braved the wilderness with a young Rosanna Arquette was quite well done.

Even though this movie was released in 1985, it felt like a movie from several decades earlier. There was a classical and even predictable quality to the movie: you knew Reeve was a good man that would eventually lighten up because of the spunky young girl, yet the movie remains entertaining and fun.

I would recommend it to any Christopher Reeve fan.

It had the potential to be a good film, but it seemed kind of incomplete. The performances were good, but overall it seemed lacking in the writing.

Very original. The movie is so underrated.

Sorry, just did not care for it. The sets were very nicely done in an evocative 1920's fashion, but that was about it. Every actor and actress in the movie was given the same part: a grumpy crank.

Not a bad movie, but Reeves crashes too much. I definitely would not want him flying me anywhere except as Superman.
If you put me on ignore, then how can I notify you when I win the lottery?

I actually love this movie and am currently watching it. :)
