Missing Scenes from Newest DVD?

I was just wondering why the current DVD of this OVA is missing some footage. According to the Alternate Versions here on IMDB and a viewing of the original version of the OVA, the scene of Kanzaki and Ryoko getting coffee is indeed missing, as is a portion of Mickey's Vietnam flashback (mostly of soldiers on the ground, including a GI being shot bloodily, and some booby traps). I doubt this was for the purpose of censorship (especially considering the fact that they didn't omit a lot of violence, blood, and profanity), but why remove it?

I am guessing this was done to make the first 2 parts combined as a single movie to flow better, sometimes when shows combine multiple episodes into one "feature" they do this. It sucks, I know. I doubt this has anything to do with violence; those scenes of Vietnam booby traps appeared uncensored in the PREVIEWS for the Requirements of Wolves.

You mean previews for the new DVD, or for the old videotapes? Because I have heard that they appeared uncensored in the VHS version.
