Remember those 80s PBS "pledge" promos by the cast?

Anyone remember those PBS promos that the cast did for PBS during those "pledge weeks" in the 80s when PBS was airing Anne of Green Gables and Anne of Avonlea? I remember seeing Megan Follows (then teenager), Frank Converse, Rosemary Dunsmore, and others appear in the PBS studio set and ask viewers to "pledge" (i.e. donate) funds to the TV station. In fact, I saw Follows twice in two different promos. I can't find any of such videos on Youtube. That was the 80s so someone must have taped those. They would make great DVD extras.

Yes. I also remember always begging my parents for the Anne doll. I never got one.

Thanks for replying. I was beginning to think that no one remembers them. To those unfamiliar, PBS is an American TV network funded partially by public donations. "Pledge drives" are regularly aired to ask public for support. Sometimes, celebrities from the PBS programs appear in those pledges. Here is a pledge segment by Steve Martin, who promotes his PBS program while also asking for public support: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qk2gmTM2594. This is the kind of segment in which I saw Megan Follows and her "Anne" castmates back in the 80s.

Oddly enough I enjoyed the pledge shows.

Can't say as I do. KQED in SF sometimes gets name cast members to do promos, but not that often. They did years back with Are You Being Served and I think their sister station in San Jose (and possibly KCSM in San Mateo) managed to get some Red Dwarf cast members.

But I don't recall anyone from the Anne series.
