Ryan Gosling in a remake

After seeing his strong-silent character in Drive, and his strong build, I couldn't help but feel as though he could be Joe Armstrong, if there ever were a reboot (which I know is a long shot). He even kind of looks like a young Dudikoff.

Funny, I thought I was the only one reminded of Joe Armstrong when I saw Ryan Gosling's performance in Drive. Yeah, I can see him pulling off the ninja hood at the end. He's the only other actor other than Dudikoff that I can see pulling it off.

Matt Damon would have been a good choice too haa

mmm yeah they look alike, and gosling would need to train like the *beep* for a role like this, not saying he cant do it, and not saying it would be a crap remake, in fact i like the idea.. but why should the point of a remake be to make the actors look the same?

reply

Yep - He's got the same "nobody home" vacant stare. Almost autistic , zombie like , asleep.
The film would have been better if Joe wasnt so Ryan goslingy

Nah, Sage Northcutt for the remake. Don't know who he is? Look him up, I think y'all will agree...I can't be the only one that sees it...

This is an old post but an interesting one. I was just thinking of the remake of this film myself amusing myself with the thoughts. Ryan Gosling? I don’t know. I didn’t see it as him at first. But now thinking about it. He’s got the physicality to pull off the role and the silent mystique…yeah, he could probably. I see it now.

On a side note maybe it’s just best to leave the classic alone, and we might be even lucky that this hasn’t happened yet. To see the classic butchered. If this would’ve been remade, there’s also a danger of having a failure, ending up with the cast of Rock or Ryan Reynolds-like.
