Better Transfer or the same as 88 Films?

will the Olive release be better in quality?
I hope so!! it needs to look better for 26$ a movie

It's the same, the commentery will probably be worse. It's surprising they didn't get Dudikoff since he expressed interest in participting.

At least part 3 and 4 have bonus features!

I don't know if it's the same since I only have the Olive release, but it looks pretty damn good on Blu-ray.
It also has brand new special features. I don't know where it's $26, but on Amazon I paid $12 about a week ago.

Get away from her, you BITCH!!!

In terms of picture quality, I'd say this review got it right, although I think the slightly darker image looks a bit sharper/better.

"The release appears to have been sourced from the same MGM master that 88 Films accessed when it prepared the British release of American Ninja. There is a small discrepancy in the brightness settings -- this release appears marginally darker -- but detail and clarity are practically identical."

The extras are fantastic with the new audio commentary infinitely better than the lies-filled travesty that's on the 88 films release.

Well worth getting this new release from Olive Films.
