Interesting bit of information on the new BluRay commentary

Director Sam Firstenberg discusses taking a 3 week vacation after filming wrapped, at the disapproval of Menahem Golan who wanted him to go straight into editing the picture.

Is it possible that Menahem had a significant role in assembling the very broad video and sound editing crew together, and ultimately had say in how the score was composed for the film?

Considering the time constraints the film was under to be released on time, is it fair to say the Menahem had significant input in the post-production process whilst the director was away? Firstenberg never once addressed the music in the film, like it was of no value, but clearly the editing of the score it what really makes the film work on a whole synergistic level. No other film in history up to then or since then has re-edited the same sections of music 3 times over, not to mention taking music from other films. I know Cannon since this picture, used existing music in their library over other films (Number 1 with a Bullet (1987) uses music pieces from American Ninja 2), however was American Ninja 1 the first time something like this was tried and succeeded?

I know it's impossible to assume that Menahem was pissed at Firstenberg for taking the vacation, which resulted in American Ninja 2 getting a much smaller budget, because Avenging Force had a big budget, and that ultimately didn't have Box Office success due to its marketing etc.

However what do you guys think happened in the post production of the film and in particular how the score was edited and re-used several times over?
