BE OFF BOY...or i'll kick ya downstairs.

I used to LOVE when Sammy and Natalie did the "Old Father William" number. It was great that Irwin Allen took them out of their costumes for the dance number and into clothes that resembles the boy and his father from the original poem. Great dance number, and the arrangement for the song was like 40's swing and jazz put together. Love the trumpets, drums and sax usage. "Or I'll kick you...DAH DAH DAH DAH DAH DAH DAH...or I'll kick you downstairs!"

By FAR the best scene in the movie. Sammy could still groove even well into old age. The music was swinging, the number was tight and the dance moves were excellent for both of them (was fairly impressed with Gregory's timing and grace as a young child. It cant have been easy. I wonder how many takes they went through).

Those costumes are supposed to be period pieces to the time period of the poem? Whatever she was wearing looked like lederhosen and a bavarian hunting cap to me and Davis seems to be wearing some kind of pimped up colonial hat with fur. I was both confused and delighted when I first watched this segment. Now its easily my favorite part of this 3+ hour monstrosity.
