I wish they hadn't..

decided to go for a bit of dramatisation for effect, as I felt it (slightly) damaged the integrity..
Do they want us to believe they had a camera crew stand with Neil by the road side whilst he tried to hitch-hike to Scotland? And that when a lorry stopped .. 'Going to Kyle of Lochalsh mate? Great, thanks..... Oh, and this camera crew ..'
No, of course not.. but it sows an unnecessary seed of doubt about any other observed event.
OK, I realise it's a question of degree, just how far you take it. Like wise, do we believe the camera crew sit inside someones front door waiting for when they really come home from work and put the kettle on? No, we know and accept that is staged, but somehow that doesn't matter, it's an every day thing, and provides a welcome break from the talking heads .. and shows us their environment being used .. But when something important happens and 'they just happen to be there'..
Sorry, it's a rather minor point, and they certainly deserve credit for not 'happening to be there' for proposals and opening of exam result envelopes with attendant "Oh mum I've got the 3 A's..I can go to Oxford"
