Shirley father comes to visit her.And she talks to Raj about how her father always wanted a boy but never got one.Now i remember in the orginal whats happening Shirley mention that her father died,leeaving there mom to raise her sister and 2 brothers.

Maybe not a goof. Shirley's mother could have had two sons from a previous relationship before marrying Shirley's father.

Um...yea, but I think the goof isn't so much that two brothers were mentioned, but the fact that if Shirley's father was DEAD how could he visit her at ALL? lolol

Yea I don't think the writer's did their homework on the original one.

There was stuff in the new series that was supposed to have happened on the original series but didn't. For example, there is that episode in the first season about Buddy Carlton, a bully in high school. We never saw him in the original series and was never mentioned. I guess they felt it wasn't necessary to do continuity on that.
