DCI Burke is such an unpleasant character. He's always yelling at everyone and often either jumps to the wrong conclusion or outright wrong. What a pigheaded person.

Well case closed, I just watched S24 ep11 Lifeline. Jackie is being framed for something her dead husband had done when alive and Burke treats her like an unstable crazy. He's not there when she needs him and handles it all by herself. How many years has she worked for him? What an ass.

She was unstable and crazy but not at the level of Scum her partner was. Those episodes are hard to watch because you have officers who clearly shouldn't be due to corruption and being nuts

I don't like him either. I just started watching the series on DVD, but I don't think I'll continue. He really is unpleasant!
