DVDs are coming

Warner Bros. confirmed in the recent HomeTheaterForum.com chat that in
2007 they will release another 2 Superfriends DVD sets. "SuperFriends:
The Legendary Super Powers Show"(1984) and "The Super Powers Team:
Galactic Gaurdians"(1986) are the shows that will release. Although I
wish there would be another release sooner(like this year), at least we
know that Warner hasn't decided to quit making the Superfriends DVDs.

Oh man, I hope it's true. I remember these two newer Superfriends 80's series being real good. I remember watching Legendary Super Powers on Saturday mornings back in 1984. There were newcomers like Firestorm ,and Darkseid being done by Frank Welker's Doctor Claw like voice. The Galactic Guardians I remember that one being shown on Saturdays too. It came out after around 1986.
Newcomers like Cyborg ,and Joker being the Ace joining forces with Darkseid. These two were a vast improvement over the late 70's Superfriends. Make no mistake the 70's Superfriends were good but I like these two more. The good thing they both will be quite affordable due to them being both short series.

I can't wait for these two series to be released on DVD. I loved them both, they were better then the original Superfriends shows from the 70's.

Well, I recently got my copy of the DVD set for this series (you know, it's the 1st Super Friends series to be issued on DVD in complete form), but it seems that Warner Bros. has yet to release the '86 series.

About a month ago I finally got confirmation that Warners did put "The Super Powers Team: Galactic Guardians" out on DVD. I've bought that 2-DVD set, as well as "The All New Super Friends Hour: Season One, Volume One" (a set for the 1st seven complete episodes of the '77 series). Now I think we're down to 3 Super Friends series - '73, '79, '80 - that have never gotten official DVDs.

I got it. Also love the extras.
