It lasted that Long!!!

I never realised that Still the Beaver lasted over 100 episode! That's a lot considering that it was an old show revisited and that it was against 80's shows such as Whos the Boss? and Mr Belvedere!

There was a strange history of the airdates to this series. It started as a telefilm which got really good ratings so it was picked up by the Di$ney channel and played as one of their original series for a season titled "Still the Beaver". The original television movie was split into four parts and aired as the first four episodes of the show.

Eventually Di$ney dropped the show for whatever reason and then it was picked up after a year-long delay by TBS and was re-titled "The New Leave it to Beaver" and ran from there til its end in 1989.

Not really. Those aired in prime time, TBS ran NLTB in the afternoons on the weekend, I believe. Similar to how syndicated stuff like Charles In Charge or Baywatch were in the afternoons on weekends.

People think I am crazy when I talk about this show, especially that it is good, but I was shocked to see it had over 100 episodes

Does anyone know where we can see the episodes?

reply

YouTube has at least a few episodes posted. :)

Thanks!

Broadcast ran it on syndication in some places. I remember seeing it for a little bit....although everybody else I knows thinks I am nuts.
