Worst Special Effects Ever

I know that the special effects back in the 1980s were not what they are today. Plus I am of the mindset that a show like this did not have the budget of say "Back To The Future" or "Star Wars". But if you watch every time that Vicki did anything out of the ordinary, you can clearly see how discontinuous and cheesy the animation is. It is almost as if they hired someone directly out of high school to do the special effects.

The creator bragged about the show coming in under budget. So, there is that. But the bigger crime is that the special effects were often unnecessary filler. They could have concentrated more on the story and had the budget to do better special effects when actually necessary.

But I mean, this is a show that decided it didn't need a script supervisor and the continuity errors show. I feel bad how much people say the show was badly written when, no, there were episodes of great potential. It was horribly exploited by producers who wanted the glitz and bragging rights of special effects without spending any money.
