You Are Not Going To Believe This When I Tell You This Everyone!

I thought that I would let everyone know that last week since I live so close to Chicago I purchased the Chicago Tribune and saved the front page of TEMPO. They had on there the 25 worst television shows ever on TV!

I was shocked to see Small Wonder on that list! I could not believe that when I saw that! How in the world can they say this is the worst Television show when after this went off from ABC it never went back into syndication at all!

It has more than likely sat in television stations all over the United States collecting dust on a shelf just waiting to be placed into syndication. Here is where Small Wonder is at on the 25 worst TV shows.

5. Small Wonder from 1985 to 1989 rating 6.6%

That is how bad this show was to those people who voted on Chicago Tribune's website. I thought this was a great show to watch when I was 13 years old and when I started to see Vikki develop into a woman I was like WOW she is hot! What do you guys think about this? Do you agree with it at all?

Based on 4,918 total responses; results not scientific.

The thing is some of these shows have never been placed back into syndication so you have to take that into account as well. I can name several of them that have not or were placed in syndication for a very little time. That is the results from a poll taken from Chicago Tribune.

I can see some of the shows on the list, but Mr Belvedere?? My thinking is the list is from some elitist millennial who thinks 1) anything older sucks 2) doesn't like a show about an above average white family with a butler. It's politics. I'm curious and willing to bet the same person would probably put Modern Family as as top 5 show of all time.
There were some crap shows back in the day, but there are lots of crap shows on now. There is no way Mr Belvedere is on anyone's list of worst shows without some agenda. I didn't see a lot of new shows, unless they are still on but started in the past. The latest show on the list is from 1997. What a biased crock of crap. So they are saying nothing in the last 10 years has been worthy to make this list? Please. I can't even watch most of the shows on today. And the XFL is listed but not even a show. It's a football league. This list just jumps all over the place, but whether you liked Mr Belvedere or not, it does not belong on the list,

Small Wonder, Mama's Family, Beauty And The Beast, and Mr. Belvedere certainly don't belong on that list.

Shows like Everybody Loves Raymond and the reality shows and iCarly belongs on that list.

Mama's Family??! That show does NOT belong on that list! And true, neither does Small Wonder, for the reasons you mentioned.

I totally agree that Mama's Family and Small Wonder does not belong on that list but you know how fickle a lot of TV viewers are out there. Some of the best shows that people love are awful and then good shows like Mama's Family, Small Wonder, and Mr. Belvedere gets a bad name for some reason I do not know why when I loved these shows when they were on.

I know what you mean and I loved those shows as well! I grew up watching shows like this as a kid, my preteen years, and teenage years. Some people just do not know real entertainment if it bit them in the ass I hate to say it.

They would rather watch stupid shows that does not make any sense at all, reality shows, or crime and drama shows now a days.

I think every state, city, town nation wide should have a channel called METV. I loved watching that channel when I lived right over the border of Wisconsin in between Illinois and Wisconsin. I live now in my home town in Central Illinois. We do not have a METV and I tried contacting them about it and they told me that they are not a nation wide network. They showed tons of classic shows that I loved to watch along with movies as well.

They have no clue what they're talking about. Petticoat Junction, Small Wonder, Beauty and the Beast, Mr. Belvedere and Mama's Family are all awesome, good quality shows. I don't understand how people can watch the reality crap that's not entertainment but bash these greats. It's really sad.

There are tons of shows that not too many networks want to show at all listing all of them that you have up there. Yes all of them shows were great quality shows all right. Well people want to be nosey and know what everyone else is doing and that is why they have so many reality shows on now. Plus, the Crime and Drama shows just shows criminals on how to be smarter than the police because they show everything in a show now it seems like.

For example, Petticoat Junction should not be on that list. Seems like the list is just a bunch of guesswork. And really, what good does it do to tear down other people's hard work. Sux.

Small Wonders currently plays on KTLADT2 here in LA.

I loved watching Mama's Family! I loved The Cosby Show back when it first came on NBC back in the day in the 80's but when they started to put it into syndication and every network or station started to carry it I became tired of the show. The same with The Fresh Prince as well! I loved it in the 90's when it first came on and all but when every station and network had it in syndication I became sick of that show.

Ha!shows like grey's anatomy,lost,the hills,cribs,how'd you get so rich,etc belong on this list,not SW or mr.belvedere and sure as hell not mama's family!

Yes all of them shows that you mentioned belongs on that list now. They need to be showing Small Wonder, Mr. Belvedere, and Mama's Family on Nick@Nite and TV Land right now along with other great classics from the 80's as well.

I believe it! The only shows worse than Small Wonder are The Nanny and Grey's Anatomy.

I don't think I'll ever trust the IMDB ratings after seeing a 6.6 for Small Wonder.

The Chicago Tribune can eat my cock!!!! Small Wonder is a fantastic show that I grew up watching as a kid and now that I'm a 30 yr old adult, I still love this show and bought seasons 1 and 2!!! As the saying goes, " Another man's trash is another man's treasure."

I know exactly what you mean and I am 39 years old. I have not seen Small Wonder in ages! I remember being a teenager and still enjoying watching this. I had a crush on the actress who played Vicky because she was just a year or two younger than me. She was hot back then!

Plus, some of these shows that critics love to watch are stupid! I mean I am so sick of Law and Order or any of the drama shows that almost every network wants to promote and show. I mean they no longer have good entertainment on any more. I would love to see shows like Small Wonder, Valerie/Valerie's Family/The Hogans/The Hogan Family, and Mr. Belvidere shown on TV. No network will show these shows not even Nick@Nite or TV Land and these are classic shows from the 80's!

The point that I am trying to make is the only network that I know of who will show any of these shows is ANTENNA TV. I heard that they were airing The Ropers.

Mama's Family was one of the best shows of the 80's, and if IRC Vickie Lawrence's fake mama facade was what inspired Tyler Perry's whole "Madea" facade! It's also the only show that hasn't seemed to be rebooted on Antenna TV's syndicates channel. I only got to see it when I was really young and at my Grandma's house... so it brings back a lot of fond memories. My parents wouldn't be caught dead watching this in their own home, for some reason.

I could remember when I was moving into my apartment after getting discharged from the Navy. I was up and found out that TBS was showing Mama`s Family for a few hours and then at 6:00 until 8:00 in the morning Saved By The Bell was shown.

The next network that I saw showing Mama`s Family was ION. They even experimented with Perfect Strangers and a few other shows. The final network was CMT.
