Complete DVD box set for ALL seasons

Just wanted to let all of you know that in case you weren't aware, all of the seasons were put in one box set which you can purchase from just about anywhere. I found mine at my local Best Buy for about $25. I do want to caution you that there are some episodes that are terrible to watch because of the digital trasfer/pixilation, etc... Those that know what I'm trying to say will understand. 97-98% of the episodes are fine. Especially the mains one in which you would be buying this box set to begin with. If nothing else, buy volumes 1 and 2 which comprise the best episodes anyway. See link(s) below:

Wow. I was really hoping this would be released as a box set. Is it definitely the entire series? I'm pretty tolerant of quality issues as long as scenes don't skip and that I can definitely hear all the dialogue. Will I be missing content or is this just a wee bit of digital hits/pixelation? Also is there English subtitles or closed captioning? For an old series that may not have perfect audio, I like to know I can resort to this.

I just got the complete series in the tin box 2 days ago for x-mas im about 25% of the way through disc number 5. there are some copy problems i noticed 2 on the first disc and 1 or 2 on the second disc. it looks like an old vhs tape when the tape gets old and u get it to have tracking lines go up the screen. they last for less then 2 seconds or so. i think they are just from how old the tapes are and the degration of the film over the years. in the 20 years it has been this show has held up in terms of quality.

all in all this is a great set and the few small problems i have encountered with the set are not even not worth a complaint if you take into consideration the age of the shows. i wish there where some small special features like Shattner commentating on the playground or others that where on the shows. i really would love a interview with ray about the show and his feelings on how it was handled over the years and stuff like that. but what you get is the complete series of great story's by one of Americas best writers of the 20th century. combine that with great acting from a all star list of actors and actresses and you can't beat it for the price and value. so in the end the quality and quantity outweighs the few small problems with the set.

sorry for the long post. I really love this series for the joy of the storys and the fact it takes me back to my childhood. now back to finish disc 5.

I was interested in giving this series a look at as I've never been able to watch it, until that is I noticed, over 28 hours on 5 discs. Usually 3 hours per disk is the most you'd expect, roughly 6 hours is ridiculous.

Huh? So are you saying that you've decided that it's NOT worth watching just because it's too long??

Just found a set of 5 discs at Kmart for $7.50!. It apparently includes every episode, 65 in all, from the entire series.
