Brokeback Civil War

Seriously, the love affair between Swayze and Read is really the central romance of this. Kept waiting (and wanting) for them to kiss. Maybe if they do a remake, they could make that the central core of the over-baked plot. As is, this is pure drivel. Jacqueline Suzanne tells the Civil War.

They hugged!
Seriously, they were good friends, went through West Point together, cared about what happened to each other....

"Also starring Morgan Fairchild as Burdetta Halloran" (!!!)

This show (which I have never had the patience to watch all the way thru) seems to have every 80s starlet under the sun crammed into it!

Kirstie Alley, Morgan Fairchild, Teri Garber, Lesley-Anne Down, GENIE FRANCIS for god's sake...!

Think of the ones that were turned AWAY.....?

reply

True. It was the 80's!
It sucked me in and I couldn't stop watching!
I plan to curl up some weekend this winter when it's cold and snowy outside and watch the whole thing again...... except Part 3. By the third miniseries they ran out of steam.... and stars who wanted to participate. LOL!

Then in 1979 there was CHARLESTON with Delta Burke, and LOVE'S SAVAGE FURY (what a title!) with Jennifer O'Neill and Connie Stevens.

1980 had BEULAH LAND with Lesley Anne Warren, Madeleine Stowe, Meredith Baxter-Birney, and Jenny Agutter...

Lawdy!

i think i did see Charleston..... not the others though.
I always like this one the best because it had so many people in it that i liked.
David Carradine was so good at being so cruel!

Wonder if Lesley-Anne Down and Lesley Ann Warren ever worked together. Nah, woulda been way too confusing.
