AN EPISODE ACTUALLY MADE OUTDOORS!

That is a very rare occurrence on TV sitcoms.

It was the episode where George wanted to relive his boyhood dream of being a top-notch baseball player on his birthday.
Mr. Belvedere gathered some great players of the past (Reggie Jackson, Willie Mays, etc.) to play a game against Wesley and his friends.

It was an entertaining episode and great fun to see those sports stars (especially for baby boomers like me), but what I really loved was the location shooting on a medium that usually utilized only indoor sets.

I would love to know which park they went to for that episode.

And this is not the first time they actually went outdoors. That would be in "The Trip: Part 2", and rather than actually going to Atlantic City for the outdoor scenes, I've been told that they used Venice Beach as a stand-in.

Similar thing on WKRP in Cincinnati, the only episode with extensive outdoor filming was also a baseball episode. It feels strange suddenly seeing the cast in the "real world."

The camp episode was an indoor set made to look like the outdoors.
