best 80's cartoon?

I know that there a lot of people out there who say that Ulysees or transformers G1 was the best of the 80's shows, but how do you think that this one fares? I'd say it competes, even if it doesn't have the lifespan of the othershows, what do you guys think?

i have every MASK episode on tape, except for 5 eps which i'm trying to track down. i taped them off tv when they re-aired in the early 90s. i've made copies for a few people a few years back. would be glad to make you copies when i get time. they're all 9-1/2 to 10 quality, straight off tv on lp speed. they're on 6 vhs tapes. let me know if you would like copies, though it will take some time cause i don't have 2 vcr's at the moment.

I dont know 'Battle of the Planets' but the rest are top quality 80's shows....

I Absolutely love M.A.S.K - I still have all the toys in my Loft......I loved ACTION MAN toys, (still have the original 80's versions) but the M.A.S.K toys were just ace - A motorbike that could fly - how good is that!!!

Marshall BraveStarr was a mint cartoon, 'eyes of the hawk, speed of a puma, strength of a bear' and all that, also he had the best hand-held gun ever - Lego was the business for constructing that piece of Kit!!!

Other particular 80's fave's were -

1. Dogtanion and the MuskaHounds

2. Belle and Sebastian; (anyone remember that one? The big dog and kid trying to cross the Pyrenees Mountains???)

3. Johnny Briggs - Not a cartoon but a great kids show!!

4. Jamie and the Magic Torch.

5. The Starwars Cartoons/Ewoks.

6. The Racoons.

Finally my two all time favourites (as mentioned above) probably have to be ThunderCats, and Ulyssess 31.....Two fantastic Sci-fi shows that aught to be made into Movies......Put them in the hands of a great Sci-Fi Director like James Cameron or Spielberg and your definatley on to a winner!!

Jayce & The Wheeled Warriors

Am glad someone else remembers this - I used to love it when I was a kid, and whenever a few of us are reminicing about the old stuff we used to watch (while we are drunk mostly) virtually none of them remembered Jayce & The Wheeled Warriors.

Glad to see I wasn't just dreaming...

Anyone remember Tranzar Z? Big giant robots and stuff. The pilots enterd their own respective robots by docking into the behemoths in little "shuttles".

A very popular show here in Germany back in the 80's was "Saber Rider". In my opinion (and many of my friends share this opinion) this is the best 80's cartoon ever produced.

The theme song is amazing. Those of you who like the 80's cartoon theme songs (like MASK) will definetly love the Saber Rider theme.

The show itself featured all the elements of a good 80's cartoon: cool, venturesome heroes, good stories and lots of action. They even dared to show the enemies being shot (because they did not die, they were transferred back into their universe). I remember one episode which had a bodycount surpassing any John Woo movie.

It has been released on DVD and there are many petitions in order to bring this show back to German television.

If you ask a German guy in his mid - twenties if he knows "Saber Rider" and his eyes don't fill with tears after just hearing the name, there must be something wrong with him!

any sign of a M.A.S.K. movie. i'd say it'd cost a fortune to make.
i'd love to see hit on the big screen.
