The shock & An initial gasp
And then a sob. Map & Lucia has been a spirit lifter for me for many, many years. I bought the books and all 3 sets of Cassettes. Tolerating intermittent depression since childhood, Geraldine's & Prunella's bringing the characters to vibrant life have been highlights of my life. thanks to the ENTIRE cast. Goodbye Geraldine. I love the characters you've chosen to portray and look forward to thanking you fave to face in Heaven.

Geraldine was simply marvelous. I first encountered her in a series called All for Love on public tv in Massachusetts. The story was called L'elegance, about a woman who worked in a shop and saved up to holiday in France. Her holidays were mostly about fantasy romances, abetted by her favorite magazine, L'elegance, until she met a very earthy chef who decided he liked the look of her and attempted to drunkenly woo her. I watched it again on Youtube recently, and it was as wonderful as I remembered.

And goodbye to her wry, wise, wonderful portrayal of Miss Marple. She brought a new aspect to the eternal Miss Marple that I really enjoyed.
