The Macguyver movies are now available to view in my country, but have not to be seen at this time. My quesion is, how they to compare to the series? thanks you.

The Atlantis movie was pretty bad in my opinion. The Trail of Doomsday was closer to the show.
Will we ever get the Wonder Years on DVD!!
The first movie's continuing the tradition of the archaeology/adventure type episodes like "Legend of the Holy Rose." From what I recall, it was pretty boring overall, but the first thirty minutes have some really cool action and MacGyverisms when they're trying to survive in the middle of the Yugoslavia wars.
The second movie's a murder mystery that quickly morphs into espionage. I wasn't too sure where they were going at first but ended up really liking it, actually. Like dishtv, I preferred that one.
It ended up being exactly like the two Stargate SG-1 movies, actually... I expected the first one to be the best and was a little let down, didn't expect much from the second one but ended up being pleasantly surprised. In the words of Jack O'Neill... don't judge a book by its cover!

I never really liked The Treasure of Atlantis very much for some reason. I prefered the Doomsday movie myself. It was a lot better. More entertaining. And we get to see "the Mac Attack" punch out a woman near the end of the movie. I laughed when I saw it. It was SO unexpected. It was like they were standing there and Mac was frustrated through her actions and so.... SMACK... we hear the punch connect and out she goes. I like to call it the punch heard around the world. That is a scene to rewatch a couple of times so it is. She deserved it anyway (see the movie for WHY Mac Attack did it).
