MacGyver makes friends very fast

I haven't seen this show in a while, but I remember having the impression that people he would meet in a particular episode would consider him their greatest friend in no time at all basically. You'd think that kind of close bond would take a very long time to develop as opposed to the few hours or days that the episode took place over. That's why Mac was so great! You want evidence? Check out this scene from Season 3, episode 11:

Stranger: (approaching MacGyver) MACGYVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERRRR! Remember the good old days when I came up to you and said "MACGYVEEEEEEEEEEEEEERRRR!?

reply

Yeah I notice that too. I guess he has that charm and nice guy appeal.

reply

He's a likeable guy.

reply

Yes, he's extremely likeable, he comes off as honest, respectable, confident, knowledgeable, handy, funny, 'streetwise' and maybe even 'wise' when it comes to life.

He looks like he can be relied upon, he knows what he's doing, and he has a greater plan in life.

He has an 'innocent charm' that's easy to give a chance to even if he's a stranger, and when you do, you naturally become friends, as it's kinda hard to not like someone like that. He's always ready to help his friends and to come to their aid and to give them advice and everything.

Of course Dalton takes advantage of him because of this, but that's life..

reply

But when push comes to shove Dalton can be counted on to do the right thing.

reply

And loses them very fast as well, because most we don't ever see again.
