You know, I never watch Larry King, but I decided to tune in when he had the hunks from "Murderball" on there the other night.
I don't think he saw the movie (except for the clips that he had on during the show). I think if you are going to interview someone about their book, movie, what have you, you should actually read it, watch it, whatever. And he asked the one guy (Bob Lujano) *twice* what happened to him. Sheesh.
I don't know if he's getting old, or what the problem is. Maybe he's just a jerk.

hahaahahahaha. The sign of a crass,insensitive journalist is a great sign of journalism in itself. As you know the one of the primary responsiblites of journalism is to extract the truth, which can not be done by sensitive and placating questions/statements. It would be disservice to the american people and to the world. Also I've watched the larry king show and he rarely talks. It is actually his style; he becomes an article in the background providing the provockative(you know thought-provoking) questions which are usually answered in length by the show's subject. A herald of journalism attested by his many awards and his longetivity on the air.

Oh, give me a break. Yes, he lets others talk, which he is SUPPOSED TO DO. He's not the subject, for Christ's sake. But he also CUTS THEM OFF too often. He just interrupts them in mid-sentence to get his next question in. And, as a prior poster mentioned, he hardly ever reads or watches their material. He told Kate Winslet to her face that she really isn't that pretty, so why the fascination in "The Titanic" (either he told her to her face, or mentioned her "lack of" looks (in his opinion) to one of her costars. He's crass, he's completely ugly, he has an awful laugh, how he ever got eight women to marry him is a complete mystery, and he's vastly, vastly overrated. Paris Hilton's been around a long time too...for nothing. Larry King is an old man who's interviewing style has always sucked, and he should just quit already.
