Are you not like Alf because of Alf himself?

When the Alf Garnet character became alive and made 'well known' , with many thanks to Mary Whitehouse , were you of an age that it changed your thought towards people who were bigoted idiots? I was quite young but very aware that Mr. Spieght was making a serious point.
Anyway, I wasn't allowed to watch Alf ... I know it was because my Father could see that the character was just like him & his friends ! It all wasn't really understood by me at the time really - I think I was about 6/7 years old when it was on) but sent to bed if the TV was on - but i did 'understand bigotry/racism/sexism etc' , even at that wee small ish age. ( I used to sit on the stairs and watch it from afar through the banisters) - Like i did 'The Comedians'. My Father liked them but ironically, not the Bonzos!) I loved them - & still do!
I would say that thanks to the team of Writers & Actors, I grew up very unlike my bigoted parents and their families/friends.
So - How many of us folk are NOT like Alf , because of Alf ? I'm not.

(My apologies for any bad spelling/grammar - After my head injury, my brain cannot process English Language too well.)

There's an Alf in all of us. I prefer him to these mealymouthed PC tossers!

And I yearn for the day that this planet no longer contains 'people' such as yourself.
