MRS Johnson?

Anyone know why they kept changing the actress who played her?

Were there on-set tensions, or just one of those things?

Strange, I could have sworn there were three Mrs Johnsons?

The first was older and more put-upon, the second spouted various Christion rhetoric and the third was only used once, when the character suddenly became a lesbian.

I agree though, the character did change drastically as a result.

There were three.

Eileen Kennaly was the first ( last show she was in).

Tricia Kelly was the second.

Yvonne D'Alpra was the last.

Kind of funny that the name Fred Johnson from the character in this series was also the name of the one-armed man being pursued by Dr. Kimble in the classic 1960's series The Fugitive.

They often reused actors for different characters, Tricia Kelly who played the second Mrs Johnson also played Alf's home help before Winston arrived. It's a shame she didn't appear and was recast in the final season but maybe she was already working on something else and couldn't commit to it.
