If this show was remade today, do you think Chrissy would be in it?

Do you think the writers would include all four Seaver children in a remake of this show, or do you think they would stop at Mike, Carol and Ben? Chrissy is pretty unpopular with some viewers.

reply

Hopefully, they would just use the three original kids, IF they did remake it.

Better, just come up with a new family.

reply

I've never known a black person named "Chrissy", so I doubt it. Now that I think about it, I've never known a black "Maggie", "Carol" or "Ben". They're gonna have their work cut out for them. Thinking of all new names is almost as hard as thinking of new show ideas entirely, but it's tough out there in these days of oppression.

reply

If you had to go there, I did know a black man named "Ben" at one time. Does "Kristy" count as "Chrissy"?

reply

Close enough. Count it.

reply

UNCLE BEN,DUMBASS.

reply

Yeah, sorry, I don't keep a running list of black men in my head to fulfill my fantasies, like some. Good call though, cocksucker!

reply

BETTER A COCKSUCKER THAN A RACIST ASSHOLE..HAVE A NICE DAY.

reply

Now that we agree on. I'm not big on racists either. Have a good one.

reply

I would hope they would not include her.

If they did any remake, or reboot, I'd rather see the "next generation". The kids raising their kids.

reply

And no Luke-- who was the homeless kid Mike decided to pick up while teaching to help out. Yes he was being nice and bonded with the kid. But he really expected his siblings (also still living @ home?) to pitch in when somebody living on the streets needs professional help.

reply

*I think* all of them were still living at home at that point. If I remember correctly, Mike had an apartment above their garage or something like that.

But you are right, I don't think Luke would be needed.

A lot of times, i just find the addition of new characters annoying. I know sometimes it is needed for story purposes (like a kid having a girlfriend/boyfriend) but usually when it is a "family addition", they are just annoying.

reply

Parents would be divorced and Jason would be portrayed as a POS.

reply

Yes, he would be a completely incompetent man. Clueless and Maggie would always have to save the day.
