One thing that has puzzled me for years was the demographics of some of the people who watch this show. I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't seen it myself. Once in a long while, you'll see teenage girls watching this show. A silly drama about older women getting into all sorts of trouble, and yet some teen girls are watching it! I don't get it at all.

I only know because when I was in high school, I had a friend who watched it, and I'm thinking "Why on earth would you watch this? They're all old women!" I mean most teenage girls watch stuff that's current, right? I also saw a teen movie a short time ago called "To All the Boys I've Loved Before," and you have two of the girls in the story watching "Golden Girls" while having a slumber party. It surprised me a great deal.

Does anyone else find this odd?

I watched a few when I was a teen about 15 years ago now... and I still watch it now at 29 :D

I watched it as a teenage girl in the 90s, but I can probably appreciate it more today.

WATCHES IT FRESH WHEN I WAS A CHILD,HAVE WATCHED RERUNS OFF AND ON MY ENTIRE LIFE SINCE.I WILL ONE DAY GET THE FULL SERIES ON DISC AND RELIVE THE CONTINUITY FROM START TO FINISH.

I only watched Golden Girls when I was a teenager. Its oddly enough a great show for teens, thats just how it is.

Plus it's like "how Grandmas act when the grandkids are gone" but with far less geriatric sex.

This reminds me of people who think it's odd to watch or listen to something that is "before their time".

Why can't someone watch a group of people who are older or different in some way to themselves?
