How did Lucas have anything to do with these movies???
Whilst browsing amazon, i was most pleased to come across the Ewoks' movies on DVD, as i had almost completly forgotten about them. I remembered loving them when i was younger around 7 or 8 years old. However, when i did watch them I was sorely disappointed. Although they do have a very slight Star Wars feel to them, and it also says Star Wars on the box, it couldn't be much further removed from the original movies. The dialogue is absolutly terrible, and the story is so predictable and weak. Basically their journey just plots all the dangerous incidents along the way. This is how it goes; see characters travelling, one or more of them gets into trouble (oohh great peril), then they are resued by the other, end scene. Next scene, same formula. BORING.
I was not expecting great things from this dvd, but my hopes did raise when i saw in the intro credits that the story was by Lucas. But alas no such luck.
