i used to worry about him!!

i know this sounds strange but when i watched this as a kid i used to worry about the old man aka the equalizer!! it put me off watching as each week i would pray that he wouldnt get hurt or die as he was old!!

Edward Woodward was 55 when the series started, hardly what I would call old!

Robert McCall was more than capable of taking care of himself!

Haha, as a kid 55 would seem old. Now you know how daft you were being as nothing could hurt Big Bad Bob McCall

Well the actor DID suffer a stroke on the set, so I suppose you where right in worrying.

It`s far easier to start a war than to end one.

Yes, and the show shut down because he was too old for an action show like that. I’m sure fiftyfive is hardly the end of the line. But I think it’s fair to say you’re gonna probably get your ass handed to you.

I always thought the young, pock marked Vietnam vet should have inherited more of the show’s duties. I liked him. He was great as Bramlet on Miami Vice’s 3rd or 4th episode. And that actor still goes strong. He’s the actor who Joker used as an IED in Dark KNight, haha.

I think Creasy from Man on Fire would easily kill the Equalizer. Creasy is a total wet works guy, American so he is well practiced (hence the drinking). And Equalizer is a guy unused to wet works, not that he probably wouldn’t have a flair for it, too. But he’s a Brit, let’s be honest.

Anyway, Denzel Washington will never be Equalizer. He already dropped out. He has been attached forever, but so it goes. I think they should just do it as another show. Let House do it and use his real accent. Or the Homeland guy.
