Wait, wtf? IMDB are axing the message boards soon?

What... what the hell are we supposed to do then?
Where will we go to berate the show?
What will be the point of even watching the show after that?
What else am I supposed to do on the net?
Where will I go when I need to know about something that happened on the show
Where will I go when I want to laugh?
What is prem going to do??

How the fxck can this even be happening? Out of the blue and we aren't even giving us enough time to say our goodbyes. Fxcking IMD, that's the thanks we all get for years of contributing to this site!

Yeah wtf man. We all know the main reason why they are, the mounting pressure of abuse and trolls online. They're basically punishing millions of people for what a handful of people are doing. If they invested in PROPER human moderation on the main boards, or boards with high traffic then there wouldn't be a problem. But they're too stingy to do anything like that so decide to just nuke it instead. As I said before, they've shot themselves in the foot cos loads of people only come here for the boards. You can find movie info anywhere else on the net not limited to here. I hope they watch their numbers tank and IMDb fails. It's always the same problem boards anyway like the soapbox, politics etc. Just get rid of those.. Why do we need a politics or religious board on IMDb anyway? Palming us off with it not being cost effective is bollox too because apparently this site is worth around 3 billion, owned by Amazon.. Yeah I'm sure they can't afford to hire a bunch of people to moderate some forums properly. Whatever.

Are we going to be moving anywhere else? Loads of other forums seem too sensible for our critiques on eastenders and actually like the show lol.

Yeah. I guess other boards aren't the same as this one.

It will certainly be weird to watch EE without the IMDb page on my computer screen. It's like a routine... I will miss it.

such a dumb reason to axe it though, trolls are expected on every message board, thats why we have Ignore or Report. why should the majority of normal posters have to pay for a small minority of people who ruin the place?

I find it hard to believe it is only down to trolls, there have been trolls for years. I think there is another reason, we're just not being told about it.

You're kidding right? Trump winning is great news for free speech. Its bad news for the kind of Lilly livered swines that react to a female not becoming president as if it means a woman can never run for president ever again and all hope for living has ended right that moment. That's what I'm saying, if you allow your site to have message boards you should rightly expect trolls

Plus this place comes with ignore buttons, I'm sure most people don't waste their time reporting trolls, instead they just ignore them. So I really don't buy the BS IMDB is trying to feed us

But hey-ho, good way to lose millions of visitors to your website...
