Is there already a live-action DBZ movie?
I rented a movie one time that I thought was Dragonball. It was made in the 80s and had really horrible production credits - anybody have any ideas?

and another one as well that is just as terrible!!! Dragonball evolution
This is one of the shows that cannot be made live action
I am the HNIC!
The only live-action movies based on anything DRAGON BALL...
Dragon Ball: Fight Son Goku, Win Son Goku (1990)
Dragon Ball: The Magic Begins (1991)
Dragonball Evolution (2009)
All these titles were based loosely on the original DRAGON BALL series, but so far there's no actual live-action movie based on the sequel series DRAGON BALL Z.
I've never seen the first, but THE MAGIC BEGINS and EVOLUTION are okay. I'm now getting into the series. I'd say DRAGON BALL Season 1 is better than the movie, though.

Exactly, what said.
There is NO official "Dragon Ball Z" live action movie (there's a lot of fan-made shorts, though).
The official films that had been made
Deuraegon bol: Ssawora Son O-gong, igyeora Son O-gong (1990) (South Korea)
Xin qi long zhu (1991) (Taiwan)
Dragonball Evolution (2009) (USA)
Are all based or "loosely inspired" in "Dragon Ball" (not Z).
Please excuse my terrible redaction, english is not my native language IMDb = Catch-22
The only live-action movies based on anything DRAGON BALL...
Dragon Ball: Curse of the Blood Rubies (1986)
Dragon Ball: The Magic Begins (1991)
Dragonball Evolution (2009)
Are you sure that Xin qi long zhu (1991) is not official?
I haven't seen the movie with subtitles, and I do not speak any form of chinese nor taiwanese at all... I've only have seen the South Korean one and the North American one (both with subs, and the Korean one is waaaaay superior!).
Anyways, even if they are not "official", I highly recommend the first ones I named. Low budget, don't expect something awesome, but if you are a fan of Dragon Ball, you will have fun.
