Does anyone else think Tony Osoba (Chas) is great here?

Hi,

I don't normally start threads like these, but this has been nagging me for quite some time... nobody seems to have noticed Chas Jarvis, played by Tony Osoba. Is there anybody here who noticed him and liked him?

I'm asking this because I fell for the actor and the character immediately and thought everyone had to see how gorgeous Chas is. So I was surprised when I showed one episode to a friend and she just said "so what, a normal character and a normal guy."

Michael Brandon is excellent here, but Chas with his calmness, his reliability, his attempts at peacemaking between Dempsey and the "gov", as he calls him, his tall figure, deep voice, the contrast between almost tender eyes and decisive behaviour... I mean, watch

I have noticed him. Makes wonder his ethnicity. He seems to have black features and "afro" hair but most of the time very pale skin.

Yeah, it intrigued me as well, plus he generally seemed like an interesting actor. I made some research, wrote a brief biography as a result, and sent it to him for proofreading.

One of his parents is Nigerian, the other Scottish.
