Favorite episode?

Ah, I love this show. I recall most of the ones from 1989-1991.
I watched it until they took it off the lineup.

Anyhoo, my fave episode is The Lost Valley! It's awesome! So funny, so cool.
And I love the one where they go to Planet Cute and where they end up in the
year 4008 and the world has been taken over by vegetables.
Absolutley priceless!

Best show ever! I taped a few of the shows and watched them over and over and made my friends watch them.
But my tapes have worn since then...I can't wait to get the DVD!!!

The DVD is great! I also love Planet Cute. Anything really out of the ordinary in episodes were great. I also loved the episodes where we saw other vampires like Don Diego and Count Duckula's ancestor. :)

I can't wait for the second season to come out on DVD!!

Yeah, you´re talking about Vampire vacation (Don Diego) and One stormy night (Duckula´s ancestor, maybe most "frightening" ep.). Both eps are cool.

Although I haven´t seen even a half of all episodes, here are two of them that I would mention:
No sax please we´re egyptians - althought little copied from one Danger mouse ep., this remains best of best!
Town hall terrors - absolutely cool episode, fulfilled with great jokes and brilliant dialogues:

Nanny: "Don´t be afraid duckypoos, I´ll look after him. I´lll just give him an aspirin"
Duckula: "... Nanny, you´re an imbecile!"
Nanny: "Yes! And I didn´t even go to medical school!"

:)))

Count Duckula, heh heh heh ...

Oh, I have too many to choose from. Generally the "different" or somewhat darker episodes are the ones that have a really special place in my heart. Although plenty that were just plain witty and had tons of great lines/dialogue are way up there, too.

If you were to pin me down and force me to choose just ONE really truly favourite episode, I'd probably waffle between "A Vampire Family Reunion" and "Dr. Goosewing and Mr. Duck". It's fun to see "real" vampires coming into the usually goofier, more cheery world of Duckula and see how our characters (especially Duckula himself) deal with it; and it's also fun to reverse roles temporarily, have people who are normally enemies work together for a while, etc. I love that kind of thing. That's why those are my two favourite episodes. Seeing Duckula as a full-out evil bloodthirsty creature of the night style vampire, or teaming up _with_ Dr. VonGoosewing to hunt down his own relatives (!) is quite a thing to see...

Other favourites include: "No Sax Please, We're Egyptian", "Hardluck Hotel" (a HUGE favourite), "Town Hall Troubles" ("Today is--" "TUESDAY, YES, I KNOW!"), "Igor's Busy Day" ("...the ability to bore people witless..."), "The Ghost of M'Castle M'Duckula", "The Incredible Shrinking Duck", "Bad Luck Duck", "Vampire Strikes Back" (the one with Planet Cute) and so many more...

Unfortunately, I only got a smattering of the episodes taped off the air when it was on Nickelodeon, many of them have bits accidentally missing or commercials in, and the tapes are fading fast. Like the rest of you, I really, really wish they'd release the WHOLE series on DVD, and soon. Sigh...

It's just fantastic. Pure unadulterated hilarity. All these different twisted things our for Duckyboo's blood... that final bit where he runs around setting up signs in the middle of the main hall is utter genius.

it would have to be "Ghostly Gold" Its just brilliant with the saloon they go and the hotel with the high pitched voice manager is freaking hilarious

Manager "can i help yoooo-ooou"

Duckula "Er yeeee-eees!"

I can't say whether I have a favorite episode or not since I haven't watched this show in at least eleven years. However, I do remember loving it when I was a kid. I can only recall general details, like how the caracters were and the general setting. I loved Nanny's continual bungling and the dryness of the butler's demeanor. Just out of curiosity, who else watched the show in Canada on YTV like I did? Count Duckula was a vague lingering memory for me for many years, I'd even forgotten the show's exact title until I came across it by chance a few weeks ago (and what the hell is "Danger Mouse"?). Now that I've reacquainted myself with Count Duckula my next mission will be to purchase it on DVD. Seeing it again will be like reliving part of my childhood. Can't wait to get my hands on it!
