that came into the Bar in the beginning of Part Four??? I didn't catch who that guy was and why did Flanagan start running after him when he realized that other man was there???
shareThe pimp that Flanagan killed was Dingo Gordon, the platoon trouble maker who went AWOL after leading some German prisoners back to the rear lines. Kaiser Schmidt implies that Dingo murdered the German PoWs before going AWOL.
As to why Flanagan killed him, it was self defence in the alley fight. My suspicion is that he wanted to bring Dingo in to face charges, and handle things officially and by the book after he thumped the incompetent officer who replaced Harry.
