IT'S COMING BACK!

Entertainment Weekly reports that Amazing Stories will be rebooted on NBC, courtesy of Hannibal and Pushing Daisies creator Bryan Fuller. Stay tuned!

I doubt if this show comes back on for a reboot. If it does it wont survive in this new era we live in because no one watches tv shows anymore and this new younger generation wouldnt watch this show because they dont understand the quality of good shows.

EXACTLY. These shows had imagination and had creativity. Kids these days want brainless special effects.

I'm compelled to object, with due respect. I teach and advise at a university, and many of my students have very good taste!

This show bombed because it was boring. It’s now being pushed by Apple as “the beloved show.” It was so “beloved” that it tanked. Spielberg has a perfect TV track record: everything he does fails.

I remember many of the original episodes very fondly, including the magnetic kids, the cartoonist in the bomber plane and the one where all the 80s TV show characters turn up. My favourite thing was the theme music. It sounded like a combination of ET, Indiana Jones and Back to the Future. I was pleased to know they have kept the original opening theme!

The first episode of the new show wasn't bad. The guy with the phone obsession was very annoying at first but that was clearly to show how he changes to care for this other woman in the story.
