Missing skecthes

Due to the only DVD of the series being more of a best of a collection some sketches have been left out. Here are some that in my opinon should have been on it.

1. Jones is a police supertenident overhearing a complaint by a suspected drug dealer, played by Nicholas Ball against a DS played by Smith with a Constable (played by Michael Thomas) also in attendence. Jones barely makes any headway due to all the cockney rhyming slang used by the 3 other men.

2. A damning verdict of arptheid South Africa presented as a take on an Open Universty program. Yes history has rendered it dated but it showed the pair were willing to take on weighty subjects after their Not The Nine o'Clock News days.

3. A spoof profile of a John Osborne (played by Jones) like playwright who railed against plays that featured French windows who 30 years later lives in a house that has them.

4. An interview between a Melvyn Bragg (Smith) like presenter and a Ken Loach (Jones)like director descends into a game of charades.

5. A Question Time spoof where Smith plays a consertive MP, the 2 other panel members are played by future Edgar Wright regualar Julia Deakin and Brian Cox who has since made appearances on the real thing including having a set to with outspoken historian David Starkey.

6. A sketch set on the Falkland Islands has Jones as a RAF officer who questions one of his of his men (played by Smith) who has been recovered from a crash landing about the whereabouts of his co-pilot. There is a very grisly answer.
