Odd cranium

What's with the size of Ginty's bonce?

There is a close up with the back of Perissireisreiis Khmabakhambttaata's head in the foreground and The Exterminator's behind - and it's still twice the size!

p.s. How cool is the helicopter blade sound effect when the topless guy at the two-on-two pagger goes winging across the screen swinging his arms about Kung Fu style like a ........... well like an amatuer.

I waited a month for that reply, and now it's gone.

And still nothing. So terribly sad.

Has anyone else seen this film?

reply

(checks the calender) C'mon.

reply

I have it on tape. Not seen it yet but what I have seen looks dreadful!! :-)

I'll answer your query when I've seen the film.

reply

I saw the film tonight. To be honest I don't remember either of those scenes.

Ginty's head could be due to the lens being used. I don't if you've ever seen A Clockwork Orange but if you look at the 'flat block marina' scene, the background looks much bigger in one shot than in the next one even though the camera position has barely changed.

The lens can make a huge difference.

OK this film was bad but it kept my attention. I was expecting it to be truly awful all the way through. I bought it off ebay because it was listed on IMDB as one of Donald Pleasence's worst films and he's made some stinkers.

I wanted to see how bad films can get!!

Ken Russell's Whore is a lot worse!!!!

reply

Maybe so, but at least Whore served as 'fodder' in my teens.

Erotic fodder????

Surely not!!!

"Shoot! With a gun! That's what the bullets are for, you twit!"

reply

Well as bad as this was, Donald Pleasance was in a worse movie if you have ever watched Puma Man, you probably know what I mean.

Yeah, but did he menace like the evil Prossor?

reply

Well he was a Good guy in Puma Man.He is definately better in Warrior of the Lost World. Both were done by MST3K and I like Warrior of the Lost World better. Of course nothing beats his Doctor Loomis in Halloween.

Did that man EVER have hair? He is bald in every role.

I'd love to see this MST3K version - is it available on DVD?

There are so many goofs in this film - and where did that mountain wall come from? One minute he's driving on some fields and the next there is a whopping great wall to crash into.

reply

I noticed that youtube has some MST3K films one of which is Puma Man.

I was going to watch the film on there but it had the silhouettes of the characters from MST3K superimposed on the screen and they were talking throughout the film so I gave up after a few minutes.

Is it always like that on MST3K? I don't like it when people talk in the cinema and its guaranteed way of spoiling a *beep* film!

reply

Please tell me you're joking. The whole point of Mystery Science Theatre 3000 was to watch the guy and the robots mock movies. Many of them are so bad you wouldn't want to watch them sans MST3K.

reply

i've seen a couple that are so bad even mst3k couldn't save them. i thnik manos: the hands of fate was probably the worst

reply

This is a truly awful movie, but I still love it like an achieving child.

I just love how the big truck, when disabled, manages to crash into the only stack of barrels for dozens of miles around.

Haven't U ever heard "Think big fat head"? If not, look it up in the Bible.

Let it be unsaid: insignificance is the locus of true increpation.

I too laughed at the whop-shwop-shwoop sounds they dubbed on as he ran around doing his best ''hwoooaaaaar I know Kung Fu!'' moves.

I like it. Do it again.
