Mystery song

Anyone know the artist and song title for the tune playing in the background during the scene where Bob and Heather are laying on the bed together after meeting in the bar? The first four lyric lines go:

"Forever seems like a long time,
We said we'd wait and seeeeee.
Cause a part of me wanted to be free,
And then again, it was good for you and me."

The song is a slow duet with a woman and man. It's not any of the regular soundtrack tunes and isn't listed in the credits. The woman sounds a lot like Carly Simon. Here is the link to the video segment my close friend put up on YouTube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bf0ObIGfCdU. Thanks for the help.

No, I have that song. The woman sounds like Carly Simon in the video. I've updated the original post in the thread here with an url to the video segment. Check it out.

The song was "Forever" by Michelle Phillips. It's also on the soundtrack
for the 1979 film California Dreaming starring Dennis Christopher.
