What is the hold up?
Why is this 80s classic not on DVD? Does Orion still have the rights? Is it a problem with the music rights? Im very curious as to why all kinds of 80s classics are out and not this one...

shareI concur. I've been checking up on this one periodically for years, and still the only format available is VHS. I have a VCR hooked up to the telly in the basement, but I really don't want to spend money on a VHS cassette. When that VCR finally kicks the bucket, my wife and I agree it's game over...we're not replacing it.
One of my favorite movies of all time is the 1981 John Schlesinger film, Honky Tonk Freeway. It bombed at the box office, and yet it came out on DVD.
So count me in as another vote in favor of getting Up the Creek on DVD and/or Blu-ray!
Put this and Hamburger:The Movie are on a dual-disc and u have a done deal!! Put into the Walmart bargain bin and it would sell for sure.
