Idiotic plot and dialogue.
Opening scenes of Paris are nice. I saw it 20 years ago, ordered it on DVD, and was sorely disappointed. True, my tastes have grown more sophisticated.
But really, this movie is an embarrassment.
If it was such as embarrassment....makes one wonder why you are looking up and reading information about Until September at all?

Responding to why I looked up the film:
I ordered it and watched it on DVD before I went to Paris, just to get in the mood. I had recalled it as a fairly interesting movie. But as I said in my post, what a difference 20 or so years can make.
What I found interesting at 18 is dull at 40.

Naah. I understood you. I've actually seen the flick. I always had something of a crush on Karen Allen. I saw this when it first came out on cable many years ago. I thought the plot rather a rehash of alot of other films. (American woman finds romance in exotic city). In this sort of setting, I thought the nudity was the best thing the film had going for it. Possibly If I'd ever been to Paris I'd have felt differently.

shareSomehow the male nudity was more like male nakedness...it was a man, without clothes on, who wasn't at all sexy or exciting...he was too aware of his nakedness, not comfortable somehow.
