Sunglasses

I really like the retro aviator style sunglasses that Finney wears on the DVD box for Criterion. Does anyone have a movie nut tidbit about manufacturer and style name of those sunglasses?

I'm in a desperate need for the same information.

Not sure what your global geographic region is, but the frames themselves are rather generic and easily obtainable prescription eyeglass frames in the US. They're rather inexpensive, too, and are often offered as "bargain" alternatives to metal aviator frames. You can pick up a nearly identical pair in about any optical shop with a bargain/discount section, then just have a pair of appropriate tinted lenses put in.

They look like tortoise-shell framed aviator glasses. Ray-Ban invented the style in 1936 for the US military and introduced the consumer model in 1938, the year in which Under the Volcano is set. The various knock-offs came later.

I don't know the model number, but compare the stye worn by Finney:
