Favorite Scene

When I was a kid and in love with this movie, my favorite scene had to have been when Hillary's boobs lit up. Made any adolescent boy like myself very happy.

I like the one in which Nick passes out after being tortured. He has that dream where he's back in school and he hasn't prepared for the test (I hate that dream!). He's relieved that it's just a dream when he wakes up!

1, during the first song "skeet surfin" the guy shoots the hanglider out of the air

2,the translating tape "there is sauerkraut in my leiderhosen

3, the german national anthem

4, in the restaurant, hillary asks the waiter what he recommends and it ends up being pork belly and hog balls, also when she says " i know a little german, and he's over there

5, when the old guy smashes his guitar on the stage

6, during "spend the night with me" he's trying to commit suicide and the back ground singers keep saving him

7, when he tells the kids at the restaurant that he is mel torme and they look so disappointed, that is hilarious

A festival celebrating the Law of Moses and the completion of the year's cycle of readings of the Torah and subsequent new beginning, observed on the 22nd or 23rd day of Tishri (one of the months in the Hebrew calendar which takes place between September and October).

The details of the holiday are unimportant in this context. The joke is that an obviously non-Jewish pop singer and a group from the French Resistance would know about a fairly obscure Jewish holiday, and that they would be shocked that the Germans would make their move on such a day.

That which is not yet, but ought to be, is more real than that which merely is.

can't believe no one has mentioned the lyrics to "Straighten the Rug"!

possibly the funniest thing ever written.

"You better watch that mean old rug don't bite you back,
I'm telling you baby it ain't no back door mat"

Genius!

Ah yes. The dance at the Pizza Haus is the best scene in the movie. I look forward to it every time.

"This is not Mel Torme"

my favorites are with the stamp that says "Find Him and Kill Him" and i also love how Nigel (i think) keeps persisting that Nick is really Mel Torme and when the "little German" says "This is not Mel Torme"
So funny!

I love the scene with the exploding Pinto also, because of the German soldier sitting in the back of the Jeep thing that shoots straight up then crashes straight down. That one kills me.

This movie has two of the greatest scenes ever filmed: the shootout at the potato farm (deja vu trying to break out a window that refuses to budge, Chocolate Mousse grabbing a huge cannon and firing it out the window, the guy jumping on the grenade, only to have it some how explode beneath every one else in the room, Chocolate Mousse's miraculous shooting of every german in the room, "My man!") and the prison break in (the incredibly detailed model, chocolate mousse killing a cricket with a bugs bunny-esque mallet, the whole cow costume gag, followed by THe Torch walking a little funny)

great, great, great film.

Every scene in this movie was hilarious. From the boobs in the sand to the porcelain soldier. From the fight at the potato farm to the underwater fight. From the glowing tits to the exploding pinto.
This movie is the one of the BEST comedies.
