What happened to the movie version. Is the idea dead?

There is a Showtime movie... If I'm not mistaken, the movie is surrounded by Dan White, the man who murdered the Moscone and Milk. Came out a couple of years ago, or maybe last year. Is there talks of one more surrounding Harvey Milk?

At one point, Oliver Stone wanted to make the film, and wanted Robin Williams to play Milk.

The Dan White film on Showtime cast Peter Coyote as Milk, but he wasn't very successful at it in my opinion.

There's a movie called "Milk" coming to theaters and it stars Sean Penn as Harvey and Josh Brolin as White. It's directed by Gus Van Sant.
