Nightmare of Thriller

Last night I had a nightmare about Thriller. I had the tape of Thriller in my closet and the blood red letters spelling out Thriller were facing me. In the middle of the night, I went and took the tape out of the closet and tried to cut it with a pair of scissors and threw it away. I returned to my bed and saw the tape back in the closet and I immediately found myself on a train. As I looked out the window, Michael as the zombie was running even with the train and looked at me and said "you can't get rid of me!" It freaked me out. I woke up with a rapid heart beat. I hate that video!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you think "Thriller" is bad, don't look at this: http://youtube.com/watch?v=08VH7AOJSNU&mode=related&search=

It seems to have been the opening to a horror movie show in America from 1971-1982. But I'm from Sweden, and I wasn't born until 1984 (had my 23rd birthday yesterday), so I don't know anything about it. I just found this the other day on YouTube. Nothing for you, I'm affraid. But hey, it's nothing for me either. I'm not a horror movie fan either. I can manage seeing torture, blood, executions etc in historical dramas, but I'm not big on movies, who are just supposed to be scary with monsters, murderers, ghosts, etc, that sort of thing. But "Thriller" and "Ghosts" don't scare me, even though they have some horror moments. I think that's because I love Michael so much, that he could never scare me.

Man, I wish I could have a zombie dream/nightmare. All my dreams are boring, I never remember them, and I don't think I've ever had a nightmare. . . oh well.

Dreamt about him stalking me with the yellow wolf eyes. B'jaysus it was scary. This has been a thorn in my side for years as there was a fairground ride of it at my local fair before I ever saw it. About 5 years later I plucked up the courage to see it - and it was terrifying!

Dreamt that my old school friend, Gary, was building a replica of the house at the end of Thriller (he's the one who owned the copy that I saw). He turned into a MJ-type zombie and came after me with "Sewer Zombie" and "Zombie In Very Final Frame". Then they all got in a car and drove off (never seen a driving zombie before!). Then I got faced with Freddy Krueger!

The nightmares are still coming! I had one that my old classmates, Tanya and Gary, kept putting their copies of Thriller in my school bag. So every time I'd go to get a book, it was there, staring at me!

It's happening again with me after a few weeks of peace from it. I dreamt MJ had found out about my fear of this video, was really pissed off about it, and wouldn't leave me alone until I watched the whole thing from beginning to end without covering my eyes. I did as he asked but ended up screaming my heart out! Scary stuff!

Well I love "Thriller" but as a child it would scare me so bad! Oh my gosh, I remember being afraid to go to the bathroom by myself or go to sleep, I was so terrified of the part in "Thriller" when Michael turns into the wearwolf. I would keep my eyes half closed whenever I watched the video a kid (which would pretty much be everyday lol). I couldn't take one step without someone being there though, if I had to go somewhere around the house or outside, someone ALWAYS had to come with me. I was convinced that Michael as the wearwolf was hiding in my closet lol, it scared me to death.

Even today, I still cannot watch the entire scene when he turns into that monster (which I heard is supposed to be based on his father Joseph btw!).

reply

Based on his dad?! That is screwed up! :-)

reply

Well if you know anything about his dad Joseph, it was kind of an accurate portrayl really lol. Nah, I don't think his dad was that bad now, but who know's really? I don't even know if the monster is really based on his dad, I just remember reading that somewhere, don't know how true it is, but it certainly wouldn't suprise me if that were the case.

reply

Now I think about it, it doesn't really surprise me. Heard his dad is really strict, to put it mildly. Think if my dad behaved like that, I'd base a monster on him as well! :-)

Here we go again! Used to be the zombie that stared into the camera right at the end and the sewer zombie that appeared in my nightmares. It's that fookin' werewolf now! Damn those yellow eyes and pointy teeth!

The weird thing is that, even though I'm not good with horror movies in general, no one in my family is, I'm okay with "Thriller" and "Ghosts". I guess that I find Michael to cute to find anything he does scary.

Never seen Ghosts. Found the video to Leave Me Alone in Moonwalker a bit freaky as well though.

Oh yeah! That one is really over the top. It really gets the point through tough. And so does "Ghosts".

Not really keen on the MJ films. The only film-like thing that he's done that I liked is the short film version of Bad.

Good God! I had a nightmare that zombie MJ was chasing me last night. He was really quick on his feet (weird for a zombie) and I woke up with my heart beating really fast! Yikes!
