Favorite Line? (Besides "These go to eleven")

For me, it's "This piece is called "Lick my Love Pump."

reply

Good grief! Almost every line is hilarious. From the start with Bruno Kirby's insulted chauffeur, "F#ckin limeys" to the Stonehenge debacle, "It's not your job to be as confused as Nigel" to their visit to Graceland, "Well this is thoroughly depressing." to the ending when David admits, "I believe virtually everything I read." and Nigel reveals that if he wasn't a musician to could work in a chapeau shop, "What's your size? Does this come in black?" I can never pick just one line.

reply

(describing Spinal Taps all black album cover)

"How much more dark can dark get? The answer is none...none more dark"

reply

"It IS green" - something about Nigel's "gotcha" delivery, kills me every time

reply

I STILL have not laughed any harder in ANY scene of a movie than when I first viewed the mini Stonehenge prop appear on stage.

reply

Yeah, that one physically hurt!

As did "... in danger of being trampled by a dwarf". What was the whole line?

reply

LOL I had to go back and watch my copy last night. Nigel says, "How much more black can it get? None. None more black." ha!

Nigel showing off his guitar collection is hilariousl. "Don't touch it. DON'T point! You've seen enough of that one."

reply

"It's such a fine line between stupid, and uh..."
"Clever."
"Yeah, and clever."

I want....large bread.

reply

"... whatever bits and pieces of Eastern philosophy floated through my transom". That so describes some people!

reply

"I think that the problem may have been, that there was a Stonehenge monument on the stage that was in danger of being crushed by a dwarf," is one of the most brilliant lines in comedy.
