This had a wide theatrical release with TV trailers and everything but you never see it on TV anymore prob because of it's Cold War setting like Red Dawn and Firefox

I see Red Dawn on all the time but other than that, yeah I agree with you. This was one of my favorite movies growing up and I really didn't understand the thought and morals behid it at that time.

Not did I either but I was 12 years old when this came out in March of 1984.

Yes rxactly! The last time I saw this on TV was in the late 80's back when they showed movies late at night and not paid programming or crime and drama shows like you see on now.

I went and saw this with my father when I was 12 years old in March of 1984. I was 12 years old at that time when I watched this at the movie theater.
