Dumb movie, but...

...holy wow, James Garner was still hot at age 56.

But seriously. I actually liked the "slow" first half of the movie better than the second, which was just silly (not that it could be anything but, given the circumstances). I even think this movie could have been better if only they didn't call it TANK... because everyone was probably sitting through it going "Boring boring, where's the TANK MAYHEM they promised?" but I thought the first part was actually kind of a decent little story about a senior officer on a base, dealing with various stuff and a situation going out of control.

But, how can you go wrong with James Garner in uniform kicking ass? You can't, really. Just ignore the cheesy music and, well, the parts that are cheesy and boring, and focus on the parts that are cheesy and satisfying.

There was sort of a serious drama struggling to get out of this one... didn't quite make it though.
