80s Style in 1941

When I originally watched this movie in the 80s I didn't notice the fact that they were so inauthentic with the style. But after watching it again in 2015 after all these years the movie about the 40s looks 80s dated. That's unfortunate. The makeup, clothes, hair, especially with Christine Lahti. Her shirts all had shoulder pads in them and very 80s. It was driving me nuts. Oh well, at least Kurt Russell was super cute in this movie.
