I was the only boy who fell for helen slater = supergirl back in 1984 ?

I remember watching the movie in a theater back in 1984 when i was a 15 year old boy and i loved her AT FIRST SIGHT.

AM I THE ONLY ONE WHO LOVED HER AND WANTED A DOZEN SEQUEL MOVIES WITH HER ?

Nope. LOL. She was my first crush as a wee kid. To this day, I am still captivated by her awesome talent, poise, and natural beauty. Such a great actress to look up to back then, and now. I always wanted at least another Supergirl picture to be made but I'm always happy with what we got, and who was involved.  To me it's perfect.

I wish she will appear in the new supergirl series......wouldn't be great ?

That would definitely be an interesting way to tip her hat to the role, and the film respectfully. I would rather she do a commentary or Q&A at a screening.

People have mentioned the subject to her and she's seemed positive to the idea. I think that's too obvious. I would, however, like to see what she thinks of the show once it premieres.

I see that your dream came true.

Not the only boy or girl in my case. I own both this movie and The secret of My Success because of Slater.

No you are not alone op she was a very beautiful girl back then and was the best thing in the , she still is very lovely to this day mind you. I was born in 1987 and didn't see the movie until the late 90s I was young but I remember thinking wow when I first saw her in her super suit .

Probably not, but I can guarantee you're in a minority. She's just an average looking young woman, whereas Supergirl was supposed to be a perfect "10", so to speak. I actually met and knew a couple of woman who matched SG's physical makeup ... if only they were actresses.

Helen Slater is a great actress, but aside from the script being junk, I felt she was miscast.

Aw, hell NO you're not the only one! I remember when I first saw the movie I couldn't stop thinking about her for days. I was an awkward, hormone-addled adolescent who got completely tongue-tied around pretty girls, but even though Helen/Supergirl was insanely gorgeous, there was also something very approachable about her. Strong, sexy, yet sweet.
I just saw the movie again for the first time in 30 years (the TV version got me thinking about it), and she still melted my heart as much as she did back then. The "air ballet" when she first lands on earth (my favorite part), her gentleness in the scenes with Ethan, even the little touches like how she greets the rabbit or discovers coconut milk, or that hair toss she does when she lands in the phantom zone... beautiful!

Word felstein!!! It's the small things that always take me back. The way she lands on the ground from the Binary shoot (in the longer version), and she looks around, picks up the rock, crushes it, and continues on to the aerial ballet. Just makes my heart flutter so.

As for the new show, it's not as bad as it could be but it needs work. I watch out of loyalty to the character, and Helen is involved from time to time. Good to see her tipping her hat to the character as such.

Sure, she was hot, and I at first thought she was wearing a blonde wig, and mostly because of the silky texture and not the pastel color.
