Ry Cooder's score for this film is amazing! Pieces of it are on the Ry Cooder Anthology but there has never been a proper release of the original, pure, score. The soundtrack is great but I have been seeking the pure score since the 80's.

Does anyone know if there was/is a release of Cooder's score and where to find it?

No, but someone has created a compilation of his stuff from the movie that you can watch on YouTube. And if you know how to use snipmp3, you can grab it.
